PR209 - Quinacridone Red. PR209 is a quinacridone-based pigment comprising several dichloroquinacridone isomers. It provides a pinkish to mid-red hue with a bluish undertone shift over time. Lightfastness is high, with excellent resistance to weather and heat. Moderately staining and with average tinting strength, it is valued in automotive and industrial coatings, and increasingly used in watercolor for its magenta glow and clean mixtures. It is compatible with glazes and expressive washes.
