It is intensely staining with high tinting strength and excellent transparency. In mass tone, it appears nearly black, but dilutes into a rich, moody green, perfect for shadow work, landscapes, and dramatic scenes. Highly suitable for watercolor painting, it glazes beautifully and retains luminosity even in darker mixes. Though slightly fading in tints, it remains a favorite among artists for expressive depth.
